Talent is a gift, but reliability is hard work. 🐾🌾

Hunting ability tests reveal a dog’s innate abilities, the quality of its nose, its overall temperament, as well as its potential for further, more demanding training. The evaluated disciplines include nose, temperament, obedience, reaction to gunshot, leash handling, flushing, tracking live game, and tracking the handler.

That is why we decided to enter these tests with our girls, Felicitous Zazou and Marieness Agatha. As true and promising flushing dogs, they showed that talent is only the beginning.

Both finished in the 1st prize category:

šŸ† Zazou – 180 points, 1st place

Felicitous Zazou

(Dexbenella It’s Only Me x Felicitous Raspberry)

🄈 Agatha – 176 points, 2nd place

Marieness Agatha

(Felicitous Luke x Fergie Ruthless)

Training a hunting dog is not just about results. It is a journey of early mornings, wet grass, endless repetition, and small victories visible only to the one standing beside them in the field. Every retrieve, every correct direction, every return to the whistle is proof of work, trust, and a bond that cannot be replaced. šŸ’š

Zazou and Agatha remind me every day that the most beautiful part of it all is not the trophies or rankings, but that silent moment when we look at each other and just know. šŸ¤

Because a true hunting dog is not only about instinct. It is about heart, character, and the willingness to work for its human. And for that, they deserve a huge thank you. šŸ•āœØ

We would like to thank the OPK for the excellent organization, the quality hunting ground, and the judges for their fair and encouraging evaluation.

We look forward to new challenges with our girls. 🌿🦮

Wishing everyone a lovely weekendšŸ€ā˜€ļøšŸ¶.
