Felicitous Zazou – One Year of Love, Joy and Incredible Achievements ❤️🐾

One year of happiness, unforgettable adventures, beautiful victories and a true Springer spirit.

On 16 August 2026, our beloved Felicitous Zazou celebrated her very first birthday!

What an incredible first year it has been! From a sweet, playful little puppy, Zazou has grown into a beautiful, confident and enthusiastic young English Springer Spaniel who makes us proud every single day.

And although her achievements in the show ring and in the field have already exceeded our expectations, what we treasure most is her wonderful character and the happiness she brings into our home.

A Wonderful Start to Her Show Career

During her first year, Zazou has been successfully shown in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary, achieving remarkable results at national, international, club and speciality shows.

We are incredibly proud of her growing list of achievements:

• Austrian Junior Champion

• Slovak Junior Champion

• Hungarian Junior Champion

• All requirements fulfilled for C.I.B.-Junior (International Junior Beauty Champion)

• Austrian Junior Club Winner – Jagdspanielklub Austria, together with Best of Breed (BOB) and Best Junior (BOJ), Junior Best in Show (Junior BIS)

• Speciality Junior Winner – KCHPS Slovakia, together with Best Junior (BOJ), October 2026, Junior Best in Show 2 (Junior BIS 2)

• Further group placements

• Multiple Junior CACIB, Junior Best of Breed, Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex awards and multiple Qualifications for Crufts

Among the highlights of her show career was her wonderful performance at the international shows in Nitra, where she achieved Junior Best of Breed and Best of Breed on three consecutive days over adult dogs.

Seeing Zazou succeed not only in her breed classes but also in the Junior Best in Show competitions and group finals has been especially rewarding.

Yet what makes these achievements so special is the way she presents herself – with confidence, joy, beautiful movement and that unmistakable happy Springer expression.

A True Springer – Beautiful in the Ring, Talented in the Field

For us at Marieness, an English Springer Spaniel should never be just a beautiful show dog.

We deeply value the breed's original purpose and believe that natural working ability, hunting instinct, intelligence, cooperation and willingness to please are just as important as correct conformation and breed type.

Zazou has already given us wonderful reasons to be proud of her working abilities.

In April 2026, she successfully completed her Hunting Aptitude Test (Skúšky vloh), achieving 1st Prize with the maximum possible points.

Only a few months later, in July 2026, she passed her Blood Tracking Test for Small Breeds (Farbiarské skúšky malých plemien), once again earning 1st Prize with full points!

Two working tests. Two first prizes. Two maximum scores.

For such a young Springer, these results mean an enormous amount to us.

They reflect the natural abilities, enthusiasm, concentration and willingness to work that we consider essential qualities of our breed.

We are particularly happy that Zazou can combine her success in the show ring with genuine working ability.

This is exactly what we strive for – an English Springer Spaniel who is not only beautiful but also capable, versatile and true to the breed's original purpose.

The Personality We Love So Much

Despite all her wonderful achievements, Zazou is first and foremost our beloved little girl.

She is full of happiness, energy, affection and curiosity. She has that irresistible Springer enthusiasm for life, always ready for a new adventure and delighted to be involved in everything we do.

At home, she enjoys life with our other dogs- Viggo, Meli and her double trouble sister Agatha, sharing playful moments, daily adventures and the special companionship of our Springer family.

She is cheerful, confident, friendly and affectionate, with a lovely willingness to cooperate and a genuine desire to be close to her people.

Whether she is working in the field, showing in the ring or simply playing at home, she approaches life with the same joyful spirit.

And that, more than anything, is what makes us love her so much.

More Than Titles and Rosettes

Looking back at everything Zazou has accomplished at such a young age fills our hearts with pride.

Three Junior Champion titles, fulfilled requirements for C.I.B.-Junior, Junior Best in Show victories and placements, wonderful breed and group results, and two working tests completed in 1st Prize with maximum points.

It is an incredible beginning.

But the greatest reward is sharing our lives with such a wonderful dog.

A Springer who can shine in the show ring, work enthusiastically in the field and then return home to be a loving, playful and happy family companion.

For us, this is the true essence of the English Springer Spaniel.

Thank you for a wonderful first year filled with love, happiness, adventures and unforgettable memories.

We are so proud of everything you have achieved, but even more proud of the wonderful dog you are becoming.

We cannot wait to see what the future holds for you. There are so many adventures still ahead, so much to learn and so many beautiful moments waiting to be shared.

But no matter how many titles, trophies or rosettes you collect, you will always be our precious Zazou – our happy little Springer girl, our sunshine and a very special part of our family.
